Dérive Snowboards
About
Dérive means more than to physically or mentally drift; it means to leave your normal self and everyday life while becoming one with a spiritual landscape. These snowboards represent an unconventional side to the feminine persona; the aura that is revealed when she escapes from her normal life. I created this snowboard line as an interpretation of the powerful energies women feel on the mountain.
Role
Designed & illustrated custom women's snowboard line. Worked with manufacturer to ensure print color quality on boards.
My goal is to challenge female athlete stigmas through self-love and exploration. I found that designing physical snowboards tangibly tackles these issues. Female snowboarders are badass, so I created boards reflecting that energy.

These graphics are an interpretation of women embracing femininity, sexuality and athleticism. The vibrant colors and fantastical interpretation of female features challenge the existing industry of women's winter gear and encourage riders to connect with their boards and themselves with confidence.
